Cleveland Winter Greenhouse Engagement Session

If you’re looking for a spot in Cleveland that feels like a tropical escape, even when it’s 20°F and snowing outside, the Rockefeller Park Greenhouse is the place to be.

Recently, I had the pleasure of capturing a stunning engagement session here, and it reminded me why this is one of the best free spots for sessions year round. The light is buit in. Since it’s a greenhouse, you get that soft, filtered "glowy" light everywhere. You don’t have to hunt for the perfect sunbeam; the whole building acts like one giant softbox!

Pro-Tips for Your Session

If you’re planning your own session at Rockefeller, here are a few things to keep in mind:

1. Mind the Humidity: It’s a greenhouse! Your hair and makeup will be battling some moisture, so plan accordingly. Bringing some blotting papers or a small travel fan isn't a bad idea.

2. Take some Photos Outside: Even if the weather isn't great, take a couple minutes during your session to take advantage of some contrasting environments to really diversify your gallery.

3. Timing is Critical: The Greenhouse has limited hours; typically closing well before golden hour most of the year, so this is favorite day time spot. Weekends can be very busy, so opting for a weekday early afternoon is ideal!
